Scottish Handball is delighted to partner with Heriot-Watt University and the Oriam Performance Centre to deliver an exciting Handball Scholarship Programme.
This unique opportunity allows athletes from both within Scotland and beyond to combine their academic studies at a globally recognised, award-winning university with a bespoke handball and athletic development programme, delivered within the world-class facilities of the Oriam Performance Centre in Edinburgh.
What to Expect as a Handball Scholar
A typical week for a Handball Scholar will include:
Team training sessions – twice per week
Scholar-specific small group and 1:1 sessions
Strength and Conditioning sessions – twice per week
Weekly hydrotherapy and recovery support
Scholarship Benefits
In addition to the performance programme, successful scholars will receive:
25% reduction in academic tuition fees (for fee-paying students)
Sport Scholar kit, including a quarter-zip sweater, t-shirt and shorts
Full Oriam gym and facilities membership
Access to additional performance, wellbeing and lifestyle support
